When you arrive at Lux Medispa for your Dermalux LED phototherapy treatment 45 min facial , we will gently cleanse your skin, ensuring we remove any sunscreen, makeup and skincare products; this is necessary to allow the beneficial light waves to penetrate your skin. Then we exfoliate your skin to remove the dead skin cells that are known to reflect the light. We may apply a topical serum or mask depending on your skin concern to enhance results in some cases.
Protective eyewear is required to be worn by the patient in order to protect your eyes from the LED lights. For 30 minutes, you can relax while a special overhead panel directs light waves onto your skin. While you have light therapy we give you a foot and hand massage.
