How does the 3D Hydro Facial work?
STEP 1: 3D HYDROPEEL uses a combination of three solutions to cleanse and smooth the skin using AHA & BHA based solutions. It hydrates and nourishes the skin by infusing lactic, salicylic and hyaluronic acid and flower extracts –aloe, lavender, peppermint, freesia, rosemary to deeply cleanse, purify and hydrate.
STEP 2: EXFOLIATION creates ‘the Bohr effect’ using a vibrational cleansing tool, allowing oxygen to be drawn into the skin. The active ingredients used are hyaluronic acid, protein peptides, retinol, Azeliac acid, Kojic acid & rose essential oil which result in a hydrating and brightening effect. STEP 3: SKIN TIGHTENING: -Tri-polar radiofrequency delivers the energy directly into the dermis, raising the temperature to between 40-42 degrees. This causes an immediate contraction of existing mature collagen fibres and stimulation of the fibroblasts which results in the production of new collagen and a lasting, firmer, healthier skin. This result causes an increased density of the dermal layer giving a skin tightening effect.(90m facial treatment only*)
STEP 4: SKIN LIFTING: - Using a combination of iontophoresis and anti-gravity actions, this hand piece also produces a minor muscle contraction and lifting effect.
STEP 5: FIRE & ICE - The ‘Cryo-facial’ is a dual modality hand piece which uses heat and cooling technology. The skin temperature is heated to 42 degrees, which dilates the pores for deeper cleansing and also creates heat shock proteins—these are chemical messengers that trigger repair mechanisms to improve elasticity and firmness of the skin. The cooling aspect, chills the skin down to 5 degrees and is used at the end of each facial to give a further tightening.
STEP 6: HYDRATION - After applying a hydrating mask, ultrasound technology is used over the top in order to infuse the product into the skin. Its thermal action has a stimulating effect on the blood flow and activates cell metabolism. The biochemical effects trigger a micro massage in the tissue which stimulates the formation of new collagen.
STEP 7: Oxygenation: A lack of oxygen slows down cell metabolism, ages cells prematurely, reduces skin firmness and creates a dull complexion. 3D HydrO2 Facial will supply 25% oxygen and other specially selected ingredients to the upper layers of the epidermis and to increase blood flow, cell regeneration and help to minimise free radical damage. Some bacteria are unable to live in oxygen so the treatment can also have a positive effect on congestion.al infused products into the skin.
During this treatment you will experience varying sensations depending on the technologies that are used by your therapist. However, the overall feeling is very relaxing, cooling and completely pain free. Our skin lifting technology may trigger slight twitching due to the muscle contractions caused by the treatment, but this is normal and does not cause any discomfort.
The results from this treatment will vary depending on which facial you choose. However, all of these facials result in a smooth, hydrated and glowing appearance. Our anti-ageing facials will also display a tightened finish to the skin while our congestion facial will help with skin texture and bacteria.
As these facials are completely non-surgical, there is no downtime from the treatments and you can continue with your day-to-day activities straight away.
Yes! As long as you are over the age of 18 and don’t have any of our medical contraindications, you are suitable to have this treatment. This is because our technologies allow us to customise the treatment to suit your skin type and concerns.
A course of six-to-eight sessions are recommended for the best results, however, clients will see a great result after just one treatment.
The technologies used in 3D HydrO2 Facials have been extensively researched to ensure their safety and efficacy. Treatment is entirely painless and will feel very relaxing with visible results immediately post treatment.
Treatment would not be recommended in certain situations, such as during pregnancy or breastfeeding, if you have any metal or implants in the area being treated, recent aesthetic procedures or certain medical conditions or medications. This will all be discussed during your free consultation when a medical history is completed.
* Avoid active skin preparations for 3-5 days pre and post Hydro2.
* Avoid sun exposure 3 days post treatment, hat, sun umbrella + SPF is a must.
* Drink plenty of water.
* Avoid make up 24 hours.
* Avoid excessive heat 3 days post treatment, heavy workouts, steam rooms, saunas and sun bed.
* Avoid chlorine for 24 hours.
* Avoid facial waxing for 7 days.
